I have an iPhone SE 2nd gen and I’ve been experiencing surprisingly hot temperatures and performance issues. I tested it in Geekbench a few days ago and got a CPU score of 1321 and today I got 789. I don’t know if this is because of the later iOS builds . However when using 13.5.1 I got great performance. And long battery life.
Could this be just my iPhone or are others experiencing this as well?

I have had the overheating problem on 3 of my family iPhones using iOS 13.6 with all apps up to date. In our case it was the Google Maps app that was causing the phone to overheat and drain the battery as described by others. Deleted the app and the iPhones now run cold and battery usage back to normal. I have nothing against the Google Maps but perhaps the current version is doing something it shouldn't. Try this solution for yourselves.
Yes I’m sure. I went straight from 13.3 to 13.6. I did the recovery mode restore too.

We cannot say its slow but yes it takes few seconds (2 Secs) to load which seems normal to me as I dont use the Camera very often.

my phone isn’t getting hot at all and i don’t even use it in the sunshine...
I got it checked through apple support, they said that there is nothing wrong with the battery.
iOS 13.7 is the way to go, heating and battery drain issues have become stable on it.
Get your phone looked at.
Can you post your battery usage graph for IOS 14?
If it is still nothing change, I properly wait for later sub versions to avoid any other issues...
Updated to iOS 14. Losing 10% battery every 4 minutes. No help. Apple has forced me to replace the battery and there’s no guarantee that a new battery will do anything.

I would avoid that kind of navigation app. I mean what would happen when you drive or cycle through a not-spot? Gps is everywhere under the sky.
