We have a non-smart TV. I purchased an HDMI lightening cable to connect my iphone and iPad to screen content of my phone on large TV. However when I connect with hdmi sources on my TV does not recognize my phone under “HDMI” source. Are there any suggestions?

It sounds like you're attempting to connect your iPhone to your TV via an HDMI cable, but it's not working.


You will want to ensure that you're using the correct adapter for this: Lightning Digital AV Adapter - Lightning to HDMI - Apple. If not purchased from Apple, make sure the cable that you are using is Apple-certified: Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories - Apple Support.
