Help! Phone 6s+ stuck on "Press Home to Upgrade" but home button does not work.

Hi, I have just updated my Iphone 6s+ to the latest update but I am told to press the home button to continue when I boot up.

A few quick notes:

Iphone home button does not work
I have rebooted several times with the same message.
I have connected to my Mac but will not let me connect.
I have tried several software tools to allow me to put it in recovery mode, but they cannot find my phone.
The connection is fine, I literally updated it via usb so there is nothing wrong.

Any further suggestions?

Certainly. You require a working home button.

Visit an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Center. Let them assess the iPhone and advise you how to proceed.

You’re going to have to get the hardware fixed. The home button is an essential piece of hardware. If it is not working, inevitably (as you’ve now found) you’re going to need it. There is no other option in your situation - there is no substitute for a non-working home button at the point your at.
