Skip backup during iPhone sync to mac in OSX Catalina

In previous versions of OSX, clicking the x button while an iPhone was backing up would skip the backup. This feature is not present in the finder integrated version. There should either be an option to sync specific content (like syncing only the music library), or this feature should come back.

Switching the iPhone to the iCloud backup mode is a not a valid solution.

HumzaKhan -- I agree with your post, but I have a more basic problem. I have Mac OS 10.15.6 and iPhone with iOS 13.6. I cannot figure out how to back up the iPhone to the Mac with a wired connection, using Finder. Did miss something recently? I totally agree w/ you that iCloud backup mode is not a valid solution ... iCloud is wonderful for syncing data but ....

Your help would be appreciated; Thanks
