my macbook is getting hanged time and again

My Macbook Air is one year old and only half of the memory is consumed till date. While working on it the programmes are getting hanged and very slow in response.

Any solution for this problem

4 GB RAM used with nothing open I have noticed my MacBook Pro getting slow recently. Even with all apps off about 6GB of my 8GB Ram is being used. I just deleted the hard drive and reloaded Mac OS. Then immediately checked the RAM usage without anything in use except activity monitoring and 4GB is in use. My MacBook Air keeps freezing For the past month my MacBook Air has been freezing while I'm working. I've had to reboot it repeatedly. I thought it was because my memory was getting low but after deleting a lot of unused apps on my computer and increasing the memory significantly, it still freezes. It's driving me crazy. What is the issue?

Please determine if the same problems occur in "Safe Mode": Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac.
