iTunes problem

Recently I have had problems with iTunes. When I launch it I get opening iTunes and then it goes to Checking iTunes Library and just stops there. No matter how long I wait iTunes does not open. Then to get out of this I forcequit iTunes. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

iTunes Not Responding Every time I open iTunes it immediately stops responding. I've tried uninstalling and repairing the program. And I tried downloading the windows store iTunes version it continues to happen. When opened the program doesn't show in the taskbar so I have to force close it with task manager. I'm on the latest windows version. I keep my PC well maintained and up to date, drivers and programs are updated regularly.

Itunes not opening I am having a problem with the itunes app (windows 10) , which has been going on for many months. When I click on the itunes app it won’t open so I then have to open task manager on my pc and end the task. If it still doesn’t open I have to go Apps & Features on my pc, find itunes and reset the app. Then eventually it will open. I have to do either or both of these actions before I can open itunes after shutting down my PC. I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes both from Apple website and Microsoft Store many times but still I face the same problem. Windows updates are all up to date Is there some setting in Windows 10 I need to enable? Is there some setting in Windows 10 I need to enable?

What do you use iTunes for exactly, Apple has abandoned it.

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?

Yes your suggestion to make a new admin account worked and I was able to get my iTunes back and it is working fine. Thank you for your advice.
