I have a MacBook Air laptop. I bought a iMac. Now all I want to do is have all documents work on both com[puters and share them with each other.
On the iMac, under system preferences/iCloud Drive/options I can see "desktop and documents"
but on the Mac Air its not an option. So I can't share...

Yes. They are. It’s got to be a setting on the Mac air. It just doesn’t show up.
What are the other settings in Sys Prefs>iCloud?
OK, which exact Document kinds do you need on both?
I want ALL the documents in my DOCUMENTS to be the same, and accessible from the MacBook Air or the iMac.
