Facetime audio cuts off

I have an iPhone 11 Pro since Feb 2020, for 6 months basically. I use it a lot for FaceTime, but I am having some issues when the other side is talking. If there is any noise on my end, the speaker cuts out like its muted. I see the the other person's mouth moving, but I don't hear anything. And the same thing happens to the other side throughout the same conversation, assuming depending on the background noise etc. - The fact that it happens to both facetime participants kinda eliminates that it is a phone speaker issue, but I still did the proper troubleshooting recommendations:

I just updated to the latest OS and it is still happening. I did all the troubleshooting that was mentioned in another post that basically tests if the issue is with the speaker. My speaker is fine when I am on an only audio call, or when listening to music steaming. Anyone else having the same issue?

Hi easeale,

We understand you are experiencing an intermittent issue with audio during FaceTime calls.

As the issue persists after updating your software, we would recommend you Reset Network Settings. You can learn how to do so here: Return iPhone settings to their defaults.

If the issue persists further, we would recommend ensuring you have a backup of your data (How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch), then Restore your iPhone. You can learn how to do so here: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings.

Once complete, Setup As a New Device (do not restore your backup).

If the issue is resolved, go ahead and restore your backup. You can learn how to do so here: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup.

If the issue recurs once your backup is restored, there may be an issue with your user data, in which case we would recommend you sync your content to a service such as iCloud, then erase your device and Setup As a New Device - all synced data will return, though you will need to re-download your apps and adjust your user settings to your preference.

Hope this helps!
