Using Apple TV+ with Apple TV verification code does not appear on tv

Please follow these instructions:

• Apple TV asks for Apple ID password, enter it.
• An authentication code will be sent to your iPhone or iPad or Mac.
• Apple TV asks for the Apple ID password again, enter it followed by the authentication code. For example if your Apple ID password is XYZ123 and the authentication code is 4567 enter XYZ1234567
• Do this quickly or it will time out!

You may be asked to type your password followed by the six-digit verification code directly into the password field. Additionally, there is a time limit, after which the code becomes invalid.

Try this: First enter the characters of your password (do not submit yet), then manually request a new verification code, then append that code to the password (no spaces or other separating characters), and then submit.

Is there a place to enter the password? As mentioned the code goes in that along with the password onto the end of it as instructed above. It’s not ever asking for the password again.

It never comes up again to enter anything else. It’s twice; once for the email, then one more time to do the password and code together.

Is your keyboard working to type in the email or anything else? There should be numbers in there to use as well. You say you got as far as a password so it must be working. If you’re waiting for a screen with 6 littke boxes to enter a code, there won’t be one, it’s an older model and that’s how it works,

It’s never going to “pop up” on a 3rd Gen.

the code is entered onto the end of the password as one entry. Example: “password123456” then click submit
