Why are my iCloud photos HIC instead of Jpg? Can I change the settings when I download? In my old Mac I dowloaded JPG

On iCloud.com, press long enough on the iCloud icon. You'll get 2 options. See the inserted image below.

Choose the second one (= most compatible)
