AirPods Pro on Airplane if suffering from headaches

Morning! Just purchased a pair of nice AirPods Pro, and read about air vent channel which gave me concern.

I suffer from “airplane ear” - I have headaches after a flight which arise during ascending/descending of the craft. Recently I had no issues- as i was plugging my ears with full tight earphones with full vacuum. Now I am not so sure.

anyone have similar things/experience and will AirPods Pro be tight enough to prevent this nasty painful sensation?
