Annoying password problems

All of a sudden, my MacBook won't let me sign in to my Gmail account. I've had NO problems for 7 months. But my Apple has been annoying lately asking for my gmail password almost every time I try to sign in. What's going on? Is it Apple or Gmail?

Why is my password for an email account suddenly not working? The password works fine if I log into the account on the website, and it works fine in my Mac Mail on my iMac, but on my Macbook Pro, it did work fine, until it suddenly didn't, starting yesterday! Mac Mail issues, I can no longer access my gmail account I am having problems with my Mac mail program. I can no longer access my gmail account. When I click on the internet account it says that I need "enter the password for the account. When I click on it, it opens a small box which has a circle and it just keeps circling. I can't add the password. I have gmail access thru my macbook pro, iphone etc. Anyone have an idea of how to fix this? How do I repair the program? [Edited by Moderator]
