Honoring old recall

Hi folks,

I know Apple had a recall on the MacBook Pro for their screen delaminization (sp?) and were offering to fix them for free. I recently purchased a 2015 MacBook Pro and it has some delaminization on the screen. Is it worth asking if they will honor this recall even though it’s expired? If not, what is my most cost effective option? Thanks!

Technically the delamination issue is not a recall but a free repair program secretly offered by Apple. The program (as most other of Apple's free repair programs) only provide extended coverage for up to four years from the date of first sale. I would imagine most 2015 laptops would no longer qualify for the free repair program, but it never hurts to ask your local Apple Store or AASP.
