Apple Pencil Writing Weirdly on Notability

I've noticed that when taking notes on notability, I cannot use the pressure-sensitive option to write because then some strokes are too thin and others too thick. I am worried that if i put too much pressure to write it will ruin my screen. Is it my ipad or the pencil?

Sometimes when I keep trying it sill work, sometimes not. I think it is on the same part of the ipad most of the time though not always. It feels to me it is a ipad problem not a pencil problem? 2nd Gen Apple Pencil - Skips/Glitch when writing I've had my 2nd Gen pencil for over a year now, paired with a iPad Pro. However, I'm starting to notice skips/glitches when I'm writing (on Notability) or drawing (on Procreate). There would be lines (appear like scratches) or multiple dots written/drawn while I use the pencil, but not all the time. I think something went wrong with the pencil - high pressure when writing/drawing (I have a habit of pressing down harder when writing), or the paper-like screen protector that could have scratched the tip of the pencil. Is there any way the apple store has a spare tip? Or is my pencil just defective at this point. Or is it the iPad's problem?

Apple Pencil skips and makes huge marks - brushes with pressure sensitivity are malfunctioning My apple pencil in Procreate and other art apps makes thin lines, skips, then suddenly only makes hugely thick lines. I want to use it for art and calligraphy, but this problem is persistent and makes that impossible. Does anyone have a fix beyond: unpairing and repairing in Bluetooth (tried it) restarting the iPad Pro (tried it) checking the level of charge (it's fully charged) cleaning the screen or taking off a screen protector (which I do not have) replacing the pencil tip, which I have done telling me it's user error - it's persistent and other users of my iPad Pro get the same results Thanks for your help, team!
