my photos never backed up

so I got the new iPhone 11 for my birthday and last night I tried to back everything up to iCloud. I didn’t have a lot of storage so my mom bought me more iCloud storage so everything would upload. It’s now the morning and I checked my new phone and everything but my photos are backed up. my last picture is from January so that’s almost 7 months of memories gone. I even have pictures that I deleted, in my phone and it says I have 1,186 photos right now and before I had 900 because I deleted a bunch of stuff to clear storage. i backed up my phone and even bought more iCloud storage so is there any way I can get my pictures back?
