Can I be refunded for a game where others have been committing fraud?

Hello,

I’ve recently been playing a game where I learned that several of the people who are highly ranked in the game are able to do so because they commit financial fraud with in-app purchases. I have spent a lot of money on this game as I have enjoyed it for the most part. When I noticed some of the cheating taking place months ago, I was berated for questioning the way others were playing. I contacted the game moderators and they told me that they couldn’t do anything. Players made characters that insulted me. They did and said nasty things whenever I entered the game. This left me with the only option to suck up my losses or stick it out. Tonight, I learned that these people not only cheat by dominating rules they break, but also by purchasing fraud. These people will make $.99 cent purchases for the week. They will then purchase a $99 growth pack. They use all of the items in the packs to advance their characters and then request refunds stating that they made an accident. I have contacted the game moderators who do not care. This is a very high-level scheme by people appearing as innocent. The person who orchestrated the whole scheme has maintained a low player profile while her union mates and friends are advancing quickly. How do I address this? Can I get my money back? There isn’t any way I could win the game or grow to that level without cheating, which I refuse to do. How can Apple help me? I’ve put thousands in this game to develop my characters only to learn that others have been scheming for free!!!

It looks like you are playing with folks who got the game from outside the App Store. Apple has no responsibility for that.

It's time to stop playing the game.

You can ask for a refund. It's up to Apple.

I just learned of the fraud. Let’s be clear on that. There’s a picture with dates on it. I won’t hold that oversight against you. I reported players for other forms of cheating. For example, creating an account on two the same server to share items between the characters to avoid buying a pack that would advance their characters. Clearly, you’re confusing fraud with cheating. They’re two separate things in the case. Cheating is the act of mistrust or dishonesty, while fraud is the type of mistrust or dishonesty. Why should I recover my costs? Easy— According to the research that I’ve been able to gather, OTHER players reported this last year. Several players stated they reported it this year. Today, when players started to question this on the company’s social media platform, they deleted the content and banned several players for what they called “false claims.” People posted images and other support.

Lastly, why the **** should I have to pay for any of my time playing this game? Others didn’t...they were just scamming the system. At least I’m going through various levels to take care of this honestly.
