iphone 6 battery exploded

My iphone 6 was plugged into my car charging while I was in a store for 20 min, when I returned to my car I found that my battery had exploded and or failed. The case was split open and the glass was fractured, the phone still works but I think that it is unsafe to use.

What I should do?

Recycle it and buy a new phone.

That's what happens when Lithium ion batteries fail.

That phone is way out of warranty. And you're right, it is not safe to use.
