Mac 0S X 10.4.11 Safari is not showing website images

Web technology has advanced a lot in the years since OSX 10.4 was used and Tiger's version of Safari is too far out of date to access most websites today. None of the major browsers support 10.4, but I believe there is a modified version of Firefox or Chrome which has been made to work with older versions of macOS.

Another option may be to upgrade macOS to 10.11 El Capitan if your Mac meets the hardware requirements, but you may first need to upgrade to OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard by purchasing a retail version of 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD (one with a black label). Then if your Mac supports macOS 10.11 you can try installing it. If you can get your Mac online to access the Apple website, then you could try downloading the macOS 10.11 installer from here and try creating a bootable USB installer. I have no idea if the 10.11 installer will even allow you to install it to the Applications folder or whether the "createinstallmedia" tool will work with a version of macOS that is so old. Running OSX 10.6 first is likely a requirement.

Keep in mind your Mac may not have enough memory to run newer versions of macOS (4GB is recommended).

It is not worth putting any money into the white iMacs. They had a lot of capacitor issues with their power supplies and Logic Boards plus many of them had LCD Panel issues especially as they aged. Plus if it still has the original Apple hard drive is is most likely worn out if not actually failing.

Normally I would suggest installing Linux on the computer which would give you an OS capable of using modern web browsers, but with only 1GB of RAM it would not be a very good experience since I find 4GB is best even with Linux, although I was able to enjoy a decent online experience running only 2GB of RAM on one highly customized Linux OS that removed most of the automatic easy to use features people expect from an OS these days. By removing all the automatic features from Linux I was able to get the OS to use only 70MB of RAM when booted to the Linux desktop (normal installs use about 400MB of RAM).

There is a newer (TenFourFox FPR25) version than this 'unstable' build v24 & can be downloaded

and installed according to an instructions page. The file is named TenFourFox_G3 and minor set

ups are required; on first-run to use this, in the Early 2006-2008? Intel-based Mac with Tiger 10.4.11

Been using these for many years in a first edition MacBook1.1, 1.83GHz; runs Leopard 10.5.8 &

the latest regular build TenFourFox (This is released same time as All; ahead of 'unstable' build.)

~ With main versions; select it from among others. Only 'G3 TenFourFox' runs OK on Intel Mac.

This one is the 'present up-to-date' across all versions of TenFourFox ~ other one lags weeks behind.

TenFourFox for G3 processors (latest Feature Parity Release has been on v25 for weeks now.)

best & affirmed by a month ahead.~ A cautionary is stated in Github above, about unstable one.

While in the official TenFourFox pages, to update MacBook ~ I download 7450 ("G4e") build for G4 Mini.

There are a few variables, so these may not work in similar yet slightly different build.

Usually the better result when attempting this, would be to be using Early Intel Mac

some core2-duo may be a path-too-far. The list of TenFourFox & 'custom Firefox' that

could function with Intel-based Mac does vary. I've been using stable' build G3 Ten2/4.

Thank you for the feedback. Figure the entire 'unsupported' or 'unstable' idea is like

an experiment. ~ In this, even the setup-path to use these may cause issues.

Also G4 versions, are specific to that hardware; same as G5. Not for intel-mac. ☕
