Where can I find a driver for the LaserJet 2100M? I had a MacBook Air, fully updated, until I spilled coffee and killed it yesterday. So I bought a new one and cannot get the printer to work. Same printer, exact same OS, just a different machine. My IT Manager is stumped. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Then use that driver. Apple does not do printer drivers. They are provided by the printer manufacturer. Whatever driver you were using came from HP. Maybe you found it on the software DVD that came with the printer.
I checked their driver info, and the only versions of macOS they have drivers for are OS 8 and OS 9 which makes that printer very, very old. OS X was introduced in 2006. Are you sure you are using OS X?
I went through all the steps on the page with no good results. I'm rather at wits end because the only thing different between two days ago and today is the machine itself. Same printer, same ethernet connections, (new macbook air), same os x 10.15.6 fully updated. Rick
Visit the support site of HP, find the site for your printer. There you should find the printer driver download compatible with Catalina.
HP says it is no longer supported. But what I had worked fine until yesterday. . Same OS, same printer, but different machine.
