Missing widgets

I just updated to Mac OS Catalina. On the prior version, there used to be a separate page where I could my calculator, weather, etc. Now I can't find it. Do I have to create a new "favorites" or something like that to get them to appear on my dock? if so, how do I create that? Thank you.

Ventura Missing Dock icons ... How do I restore them? I have an alias to the downloads folder. The idea is that the apple fan/list/whatever display has been useless from day one. An icon in the dock should open a finder window to download ...simple! I have no idea why 'open a finder window' is still not an option alongside the fan stuff ... I digress! Since the Ventura upgrade ... the icons have gone, to be replaced with a generic white document rectangle. I can see the Alis in a folder window ... it looks like a folder ... but the alia in the dock does not! So far I have tried removing the shortcut from the dock and dragging the alias back to the dock ... still white. Creating an alias to an app (keynote ... waiting for a minute of spinning pizza) and then dragging the keynote alias to the doc but I cannot add that alias to the dock (do not use keynote at any rate ... but still unexpected.) Creating an alias to another folder in my user area (not a cloud location). This created the alias immediately with the correct icon in finder ... but dragging that to the dock causes the dock to display the generic white again. I am unsure where to go next ... help appreciated. Thanks.

Menus instead of action? It seems nearly every time I click on the + to add a new tab, or on the Forward or Reverse buttons, or on apps in the Dock, instead of just doing any of those actions, I get instead a dropdown menu!! I just want the new tab to open, or to go back to the previous one, forward to the next one, or the app I clicked on, to just open!! And sometimes clicking doesn't register, or grabbing the side rails won't move the position of the screen, or scrolling won't happen! I have to do something else, then try again, for it to finally do what I need doing. Why is this happening so often??

OS Ventura Spotlight show files with finder Icon and don't open its I'm using a new Mac book air M2 with Ventura. I transferred my previous mac book pro. When I search with spotlight i see the file i'm looking for, but it's showed with a finder Icon and i cannot open directly, i must chose search with finder and find it again in all the similar files. How can I fix? Spotlight search: Search in finder result:

Dashboard, as it was called, has been removed from Catalina. There are some replacement features (weather, calculator) in System Preferences : Extensions : Today that you can select. These will appear in the Today section of the Notifications panel that slides in from the right-side of your screen.
