iPad synths in Logic via USB cable?

I’d like to know if it’s possible to play synth instruments located on the iPad within Logic. I’m trying to connect the iPad (2019) to the MacBook pro (2020) using Lightning cable through USB adaptor into the USB-C Input on the Mac (the iPad charges, so I know there’s at least some connection).

A second thing which may have provide a clue to the first: Even if I open Logic Remote - an app which should definitely recognise the iPad - it says they have to be connected either over internet or USB (which they are). Any help here please?

In general, if you want to send audio out it needs to go via an interface, sending output via usb into logic won’t work as logic wants to see midi or audio. What interface have you for your Mac?
