Phone being unresponsive

How do I fix my phone because it’s being unresponsive and won’t turn off or open apps.

Do a forced restart:

Press and quickly release VOLUME UP
Press and quickly release VOLUME DOWN
Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears
