Microphone not working on my MacBook Pro

My microphone is not working on my MacBook Pro. In the system settings, it shows an internal microphone. However, anytime I use FT or Zoom, or any kind of online meeting, no one can hear me unless I use my AirPods. There is no option in settings for a sound test. How do I test my microphone or reinstall the microphone's driver?
