AirPods

I tried to find my AirPods just now and was unable to do so. Both pods were fully functional and in the case (as they should have been), however, when I went to the find my AirPods app and hit the play sound button nothing happened. Come to find out the case doesn’t play a sound only the actual pods themselves, but, if the AirPods are in the case with the lid closed (like mine were), shouldn’t you still be able to chime the case itself? This is a nightmarish design flaw that really needs another look. I am glad that eventually found them, I just wish I would have been able to find them through the find my app.
