macbook app updates

The App Store icon on my Macbook show that 4 apps need updating. The apps are Garage Band , Keynote, Numbers and Pages. When I click on the App Store icon the 4 apps now show "OPEN" beside them. No other apps need updating. Why does the App Store icon still show "4" in the red dot?Macbook has latest OS.

Sometimes, signing out of the App Store and then signing back in (requires your Apple ID and password) will clear those little quirks.
