Is the touch id clickable?

I recently noticed if I push with a little force on my fingerprint scanner on my MacBook Pro 13 2020 it clicks just like a home button on an iPhone. Anyone have a similar model? I want to make sure it's not just me and its made to do that. Thank You!

Yes, that serves as the hard shutdown button – if your Mac is frozen and unresponsive, press and hold the Touch ID sensor ‘button’ for 10 seconds.
