Brand new Macbook Air, won't let me update apps that have needed updates since I got the computer

Basically as the tin says. I have updates for GarageBand, Keynote, Numbers, and Pages but I am unable to update them because they were "refunded or purchased with another apple id" even though the computer is brand new and I'm the only person to have ever logged in to it before. Is there something I can do? I'm unsure of how to resolve this as I'm unable to download any other apps from the store. All they do is spin forever. Please help.

The work around is to delete the apps and redownload them logged into your current Apple ID.
