iphone XR not connecting to carplay after ios 13.6 update

Hello,

I recently updated my iphone XR to ios 13.6 and now my 2020 honda civic is not connecting to my phone. My phone is connected to a usb lighting cable and changing perfectly, but not connecting to apple carplay. Before anyone commments to try a different usb cable I tried three different cables so that’s obviously not the problem.

iPhone 12 Pro will not connect to CarPlay I use a genuine Apple USB-A to lightning cable (also tried other cables) and my iPhone 12 Pro will not connect to CarPlay. Sometimes it connects and then disconnects. It does give the "charging" icon but apparently has issues with the data connection. If I attach my wife's iPhone 10xr CarPlay works just fine. CarPlay will not detect USB wired cable Hello. I had downloaded 15.4 when it came out. All was working fine, I would plug my iPhone SE 2020 into my 2019 Volkswagen Jetta with the lightning cable, and all would work fine. Then today carplay could not detect then phone via the cable. I have tried rebooting my phone and radio. None of it works. The only thing I can get to work is if I connect via Bluetooth, but that only allows me to use the phone. I have also tried 4 different lighting cables and 2 are true Apple cables. Anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it? Getting ready to go on a trip and I need my maps haha. Thanks.

Ask Honda. There may be an update or fix. You might also try a reset of the phone. As an aside, my XR connects to my Mazda (2020) correctly.
