can't approve icloud on mac

So for some reason I had to log into icloud to activate some features, which ones I don't know. So I was an idiot and kept using the wrong number code so it started to prompt me to log in on another device. So I clicked continue and got a sign in on my iphone, entered my password and hit approve. The dialog to approve the mac is still sitting there waiting for approval. If I select can't approve it will wipe my icloud data. So what should I do? I am running OSX 10.15.5 on a late 2014 mac mini.
