Need info as to how to find way to upload videos onto Catalina. iMovie and Final Cut Pro don't work.

How to get rid of all excess files unintentionally uploaded that take up space in iMovie. Also need to know what will work to upload videos.

In iMovie select the unwanted clip, do a File/Reveal in Finder, and delete the clip from the Original Media folder that pops up. The clip will be deleted from the iMovie library and thus from all projects that are using the clip.

To upload media to your hard drive use the Image Capture app on your Mac.

As to why iMovie doesn’t work, we’ll need some details. What version of iMovie are you using? In what way doesn’t it work? What steps are you taking to make it work? What happens when you try?
