I have a brand new iPad Pro that ghost types?

I bought a brand new iPad Pro that arrived right before the lockdown in March. Within a few days or it’s arrival, it started ghost typing. I haven’t been able to get to an Apple store so it’s been useless. It’s brand new, not refurbished and the screen isn’t damaged. I

paid a lot of money for a defective iPad and I’ve been using my old one that isn’t so sensitive until I can get a to a store. I don’t live near a store and I don’t want a bunch of back and forth. Any suggestions?
