How to create a journey map in the book I am making

Which editing extension are you using to create the book? Apple is no longer offering any print product services, so It is no use to try to create the book in the Photos.app, unless you are using one of the third-party project extensions for books. https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-13272

I have not yet found any extension, that offers to create a map in a book.

You could create the map in Apple's Maps.app and take screenshot of the map with the pins.

I am using this Automator service to create a map with pins from the currently selected photos:
