Hello everyone,

Recently I changed my desk setup forcing me to charge my MBP using left USB-C ports. I've noticed it's getting really hot despite being idle (close lid).

I've been reading and found few articles on this. I was wondering if Apple is working on the fix or at least commented why $2600 professional equipment has design flaw...

A design flaw is when it does not meet the form or function used in selling it to you. This is not that. It still works if you charge it from the left, it just may not be as convenient for your setup.

The Voltage controller that regulates charging Voltage is on the right hand side.

If you have an issue with it not keeping cool, and keeping cool is more important than other issues, I suggest you find a way to charge it from the right.
