Apple Hardware Test not working

I have an old Macbook Air (2011) under Mac OS SIERRA 10.13.6.

When I run the AHT the extended test start normally then stay blocked after a while during the memory test. No more keyboard, no more mouse. Only power off works and allows me to restart. I tried to launch it by night and so wait 5 hours. Doesn't work...

I need to know what is wrong with my Mac who has many bothering curious comportments.

Hi, thanks for your quick answer. I made the 2 suggested operations. Unfortunately it doesn't work. I should maybe precise the different issues I observe on my MacBook Air 11" 2011, 4Go :

  • the "W" key doesn't work anymore (French Azerty keyboard) but sometimes (I don't remember hen and in which app) it did work. I think it is hardware : should I use a screwdriver and unmount the key ?
  • when my computer goes to sleep, it closes all application, trying to close completely the session. It was not that comportment before. I tried to modify parameters but it doesn't change anything.
  • I have a utility software named "CleanMyMac" : frequently appears a pop-up window saying my memory is full.

These 3 issues appeared at the same time.

PS: I already ordered a new MacBook, but I choose to buy a MacBook Pro 16" more convenient for my Xcode programming jobs but not for moving and demonstrations for example. So I would like to keep active my MacBook Air.

Thanks in advance,

Cheers
