System storage and others taking space

Does anyone facing issue with system storage and others taking more than 40 GB of space and on top of it updates software version 13.6.1 says that it won’t delete unwanted system data


iOS 13.6.1 includes bug fixes for your iPhone.

  • Addresses an issue where unneeded system data files might not be automatically deleted when available storage is low

The update to iOS 13.6.1 is supposed to clear excessive other on your phone. If you have 40GB of other, that’s way too much. The system files that are deleted when space is low, are unneeded system files.

you're saying that 'other' storage is still high?


You can use the Contact Support link in the upper right of your screen so that Apple can troubleshoot 'Other' storage issues on your device.

Try a forced restart first. Quickly press and release the volume up button, then quickly press and release the volume down button. Then hold the side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Then let go of the button sand let the phone boot up. Check the other storage again.
