Frozen cursor top left

Hi. My MacBook Pro has done this several times. The cursor gets stuck on the log in page in the upper left hand. The keyboard is frozen and it won’t let me start in safe mode. I have a 13” MacBook Pro with 10.14.5.

Cursor on trackpad frozen in upper left corner I have had this problem for a while now. Almost everytime I open my macbook pro, the mouse cursor is frozen. I don’t know what to do. please help

MacBook Pro unrsponsive I have a recent macbook pro with touchbar and my screen froze. keyboard trackpad and touchbar are unresponsive, but cursor is still moving. I cannot quit, restart, shut down. any suggestions? Right now all i can think of is to let the battery run out or remove the battery. Help! I wish it still had an actual physical power button.

Try using an external USB keyboard and mouse.

If you have the 2015 model, then you may just have a bad Trackpad Cable.

An external mouse works but the MacBook won’t recognize the Attached keyboard.
