computer not authorized

For the past year I could not play any song (whether from album or single) because an error message said my computer was not authorized. First the song would have an error downloading, then it would download, then computer not authorized, then it is already authorized. I would try to play it and again... not authorized. I have tried to delete and try again. Expected me to pay again. Song not listed in purchases. Multiple times I have to send it to myself as a gift in order to own the song. Paying for it multiple times. I have been to support and they deleted all computers and reauthorized my computer. Still no good. Was told to remove entire ITunes program and reinstall it. I am afraid of losing all of my songs, even uploaded from my cds. Suggestions?

Repeated requests to authorize an already authorized computer for recent store downloads typically indicates you have corrupt or incomplete copies. Delete the tracks that won't play from your library without hiding from your purchase history. Redownload using the cloud links that should remain, or close iTunes and reopen if they don't show up straight away. While downloading click the activity widget and turn off the option that allows for simultaneous downloads.
