Green tint on external monitor in fullscreen

For me the problem recurs occasionally. Each time it does I just go to:

System Preferences > Accessibility > Displays > Cursor,

I then set Cursor Size to Normal.

Fixes the problem every time.

Even if it was already set to Normal, I just slide the Cursor Size slider away from Normal and then back to Normal and that fixes it.

Such a silly bug. Hope this workaround works for you.

I have this problem with Mac Mini late 2012 when watching TV app in full screen on a television with HDMI. If I move the mouse or play subtitles then everything is normal but as soon as the transport controls disappear or the subtitles disappear the display turns green.

I found that going into system settings > accessibility > display > cursor, and then turning off "shake mouse pointer to locate" completely fixed the problem.

Solved by disabling hardware acceleration in chrome's advanced settings

On the external monitor reduce the response time to standard or faster i kept mine to standard. On my Samsung external monitor there are three options: standard, faster and fastest. I had mine on fastest thinking the video performance would be enhanced but this wasn't the case. I even searched on google telling me to turn off Hardware-accelerated video but this did nothing.

Hopefully this helps.

Have you tried by normalizing the size of your cursor:

System Preferences > Accessibility > Displays > Cursor

For some reason this seems to work for some folks.

Have you already tried adjusting the response times and refresh rates for the monitor?

I also have this same exact question. Just got my new Mac Pro 13' 2020 two weeks ago. Everything is fine until I watch a video on full-screen and there is a green tint. Played with energy saver preferences but no luck. Are there any updates on a solution?

Same problem here, it's just a shame for the-so-good-apple to have annoying issue like this, I followed the fix but on next boot the problem is still there. Never happened on Windows, meh.
