My Apple iPhone 7 stopped connecting with my provider, Verizon and I cannot update my phone to 13.6 or 13.6.1. What’s the problem, a Verizon employee said it is a hardware issue

My iPhone 7 stopped connecting to Verizon To make calls and I am unable to download updates 13.6 and 13.6.1. It says I can’t connect until I download these updates. A Verizon rep says it is a hardware problem. What can I do

If it doesn’t qualify see—>If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
