I no longer have a video option for my iPhone 11 Pro Max and the only way I can record is by holding my shutter button. Does this only affect the 11 series and any ideas to see if it’s just my phone? Should I go to my nearest Apple store and see what they say? Anything to help me sort this out or something like that please reply thanks.
Here is how I fixed this issue. 1. Open settings and click on camera. 2. Click on “Preserve Settings”. 3. Make sure “Camera Mode”, “Creative Controls” and “Live Video” buttons are green. Video button option returns

Same issue has just happened to me whilst editing a video I have now lost the option to video and my video have converted to an "item" and looks like an image/ photo - 12 Pro
Same thing happend to me on my iPhone SE I have had update for a while and the settings I changers and worked for a split second then went back and now does not work.
It’s a bug. Bad code, bad QA for one of the most used features of a phone.
There is no fix yet. This needs to be brought to Apple’s attention. Very shoddy right now. I can’t use video without holding the photo button.
How about you guys quit pushing out updates until you are certain that there are no bugs. Test it a little bit more. Not having a camera on an iPhone is nothing short of ridiculous to be honest.

If you are trying to use video while on the phone or FaceTime it will not allow you to.
That did not work. It just does a photo burst

This was posted below and worked on my iPhone 12;
Open your camera and the white “PHOTO” button will appear; HOLD THE BUTTON and the camera will begin recording; let go of the button and the recording will stop.
if you want continuous recording without having to hold the button down:
HOLD THE WHITE SHUTTER BUTTON; begin the recording; then swipe right, and the recording will continue.
