MacBook Air not detecting battery

Whenever I remove the charger from my mac, it shuts down, and wont boot until plugged in again. Under system info, it says battery not connected, not charging, and no cycles detected.

From what i've read i think its stuck in deep power mode.

I have tried SMC reseting, didn't seem to do anything, and PRAM reset didn't work?

When it died there were lots of apps open.

Whenever I bump the battery, the clock resets.

Please help!

It sounds like the connector for the battery is not securely attached to the logic board. Open the back cover and check to see if the battery connector, along with other connectors, is plugged in completely. The picture below shows the battery connector for reference. Before opening the back cover, ground yourself by touching bare metal to discharge any static electricity buildup in your body. You will need a P5 pentalobe screwdriver to remove the back cover.
