setting up new iphone7 need help

I'm trying to set up my new iphone 7 and entering the info manually. I got to the point its asking for my Apple Id password for my personal email. I didn't have one that I know of so I went into my apple account and added my email. But its still not accepting my password. I'm stuck. The phone won't go forward or backward because its not accepting my password for my Apple Id email.
