Document scanned directly to iPhone Files not uploading

I frequently use the Scan Document option in iPhone Files to upload various documents to the cloud. The resulting file remains greyed out for a second or two, then, presumable after it's successfully uploaded to the cloud, becomes available for normal manipulation including deletion (swipe left), selection (link in upper right corner), and more (touch & hold). This time the two receipts I scanned into a Google Drive folder in Files never un-greyed and are still sitting there, non-selectable & non-removable. Their icons visually show the receipts, so something did get scanned somewhere but maybe failed the upload and are now stuck.

How do I either remove these ghosts of files or complete their upload? Is there a Retry?

iPhone XS, 13

Thank you for the suggestions. Force-quitting Files, restarting the iPhone, or scanning elsewhere through Files did not help--the two receipts continued to appear grey through Files & were completely missing everywhere else (Google Drive app, Google Drive on the web, etc.). But then I tried scanning something unrelated into the same folder & that did the trick: when the scan completed, all 3 files appeared normally, ready to be moved, renamed, etc. Problem solved.

Hello MarcinS,

Based on your post it sounds like you have documents that you're unable to scan to Google Drive using the Files app. Is that correct? We'll be happy to help out.

You mentioned that the documents appeared to be greyed out. Have you tried force quitting Files or restarting the iPhone to see if that helps? Have you checked Google Drive to see if the receipts are visible? Have you tried scanning any other files to Google Drive or iCloud to see if you get a response?
