I keep having Numbers files disappearing from iCloud. They are there one day, the next day they are gone, and don't show up when I go to iCloud->Settings->Advanced->Restore Files. I have also gone into iCloud drive and hit Recently Deleted and the missing files do not show up there. This is so frustrating! Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have the same issue. All of my Microsoft files from last years college course have disappeared from my desktop and iCloud account. I have tried to restore them any way i can, but they have completely gone. Please help!

Please consider starting your own post so that more eyes will be able to see it and possibly assist with your issue(s).
Thank you, but unfortunately this link did not help. My files do not show up using the suggested remedies in the link.
Next possible step -- Get Support.
installed new iMac, used TIme Machine backup everything fine except recent Excel files disappeared, error "can't open". MacOS 10.15.7
