Device and person show different locations in “find my” app.

Strange thing happened today. My son went to the park about a mile away. Checked in on him to make sure he was still there and in the Find My app, the “people” tab said he was a mile Or more north of his actual location. However, the “devices” tab was exactly correct on the location of his iPhone. When he returned home, his “people” location jumped to another location 3 miles south. But again, his “device” location is spot on. Everyone else in the house has their location correct on both tabs.

Checked his location settings and they seem right. Turned off his location services and turned them back on, his “people” location briefly became unavailable, but then jumped back to the same erroneous location 3 miles away.

Any ideas what is going on?
