Spam Call from 1-800-275-****

I received a spam call from what appeared to be Apple. I went pretty far, ok, way too far with them before I finally terminated the call. I ended their “help” when they requested $500, that would be refundable within a couple of hours, but I couldn’t hang up the phone. I would have to stay on the phone and drive to Safeway to purchase the card while still on the line with them. That’s when I knew for sure it was a Spam. Wish I hadn’t gone as far as I did with them, but they were very convincing!! Beware

Beware, is right! But, and you're right again, these folks are not to be toyed with. They're bad folks with bad intentions and the tools to back those intentions up. So stay away, as you said, beware and, as per Apple's guidance, consider reporting them. "You can report fraudulent tech support calls to the Federal Trade Commission (U.S. only) at www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov or to your local law enforcement agency."

Stay safe! Have a great weekend.
