Password for Touch ID

I bought a new MacBook and it uses touch ID. But now I need a password to unlock it but I didn't set a password. What should I do?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Reset your Mac login password

Also, Touch ID works on wake from sleep, but when you boot (or reboot) the Mac, you need to type a password for security reasons.
