I am trying to erase my old broken iphone. I already set up my new iphone.

I am trying to erase my old iphone that is broken. It does not turn on. I already set up my new iphone. I followed the steps but it is not erasing. I am afraid I am going to erase the new phone.

If it does not power on and boot into iOS, there is nothing you can do. It’s just an inert hunk of plastic and metal if it won’t power on.
