Hi RMBergen, I spent hours and hours trying to get this fixed - it seemed better for a short while but now my recorded programs are practically unwatchable. It's worse with fast forwarding in my case, but it also stops randomly and jumps back to an earlier point in the program, then will not fast forward.

I did get help from Twitter yesterday: @Ask_Spectrum. They were very quick to answer and researched the problem. they said it is a known issue with the cloud DVR that they are working on: "a known issue with the fast forward or "scrubbing" function cloud DVR with Apple TV. "

If you use Twitter, try reaching them that way.

Good luck because I know it's a very annoying problem!

My Spectrum app is acting terrible same as others complaints.

All of my other apps work fine.

Apple, Netflix, Prime, etc.

Spectrum seemed to improve for awhile earlier this year, now it’s back.

especially during Sports.

Is it due to recent Apple vs Spectrum app updates?

I've had to jump out of both apps to watch on antenna (when available) and get an awesome picture!

I shouldn’t be having this problem.

Haven’t watched much, but 2 days later app is still working good.

the real test will be during football this Sunday.

My Apple TV has the Spectrum app, but my Sony tv doesn’t have one available even after a search. It would be nice to have a Sony Tv Spectrum app for backup if Apple TV app fails again.

I was told at Best Buy a year ago that the Apple TV would give me 4K Spectrum and resolve another issue with my Sony sound bar.

I really didn’t want another computer. I just wanted a tv, lol!

You’ll have to ask spectrum that question to be sure, but it should be yes.

Although, I now have the pick 10 favorite package and Nat. Geo. wouldn’t come in without the box.

I spoke to a cable guy at my brothers house and he indicated (with a wink) that dumping the boxes would save him money. My brother didn’t care, but I do.

I already have all of my TVs on roku or Apple TV except for one box that I keep for back up at the main tv. That saves me money on 3 less boxes.

If you’re nervous about it, try it on all but one. If it works, dump them. Keeping one just in case is up to you.

Reps aren’t supposed to lie to you, so you have to ask the hard questions.
