I have a Mac Mini (Late 2012) 2K Monitor Connection

I have a Mac Mini (Late 2012) and i want to buy a 2k monitor. Do i have to find a monitor which has mini displayport or it's ok a displayport connection?

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

It will work with a Mini DisplayPort to Display Port cable, but keep in mind that the 2012 Mac Mini's GPU will limit you to 2560x1600. see > https://support.apple.com/kb/sp659?locale=en_US
